I could be wrong SOCCERDAD, but I doubt it. Don't think Blitz directors would have agreed to meet with them this week if that were the case. Again, i could be completely wrong on this.

Is there a monthly fee for practice fields that each player/team pays?

This is cool for TUlsa but i don't see anything to wet your pants over. I look at it like this, TSC (and possibly others) are getting access to better fields and some indoor complexes. i don't see either as a game changer as ultimately success will be defined by the coaches and what players do after practices. Its good and sounds like an awesome facility. Game changer for purposes of development, not so much IMO.

A good analogy. Love top golf. very cool place. Even a good place to work on my game. That said, without a good swing coach and practicing outside of top golf my game really won't improve.

If you get good enough at Top Golf where you can land on those pins, it will translate into a real game. Target golf is the best way to help your game. Bad analogy!

Come dude. It was creative. Point was facilities does not equate to development. They can be a tool in that but my guess is this will have no real effect. Could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

It seems to me that everytime TSCH announces a new project a handful of haters (mostly Blitz parents in this particular thread) try to cut them down or minimize their impact. This is normal I suppose but the fact remains that TSCH is continually developing new projects. Yes, the details and scope of those projects change over time, like all projects, but instead of questioning why TSCHs new project details are always changing, isn't the real frustration and a better use of your time to question why your club isn't developing new projects? Kids would rather play for dynamic consistently developing clubs, even if the details change over time, than static clubs.  I would love for blitz to become a great club but that simply won't happen by sitting back and watching/critiquing TSCHs continual expansions. The solution is simple, stop focusing on TSCH and start focusing on building a better option for Tulsa's soccer community. Until that happens, your numbers will continue to dwindle, not because of TSCH but because of Blitz.

You honestly think Blitz parents are being haters? I'm a Blitz parent, obviously, and as usual, i bring up questions or concerns. Some are based on facts and what i have actually seen and some are based on what I've heard from other parents and coaches, outside of Blitz. How is that any different than any TSC parent restating what they've been "told" by coaches and parents.

Anyone that knows me knows i like Blitz for my daughter at this time, but don't hate TSC or anyone that chooses to like TSC for their child

I'm honestly not a hater of TSC, but I am a hater of lies. Some things that have been said and released in press releases are flat out lies. But I guess that's okay because it's not a lie "if the details change over time."

"It seems to me that everytime TSCH announces a new project a handful of" FACTS are left out.

The activist in me understands exactly where you're coming from Eastside and most in Tulsa see the benefit in having several strong soccer clubs. The problem is, complaining about the accuracy of TSCH press releases is futile. People don't hear or care about that message, all they hear is TSCH is doing another new project.

In my opinion, the only way for blitz to turn around and build into a strong club is to implement new projects that people care about and want to be a part of. That's where your focus should be - helping Blitz do things better, not TSCH.

If "projects" are what is selling TSC then there are bigger problems that need to be addressed.

This is what it boils down to.

TSC is excellent in marketing. Most marketing has a hint of truth and misleading statements - this from most companies.

How big is this complex!? TSC, Blitz, and anyone else willing to fork over the dough is gonna utilize this place!? Can anyone say logistical/parking nightmare. Oh Well... I guess it can't be worse than alsuma or allstar.

TSCSOCCERDAD, They addressed the parking issue in a recent meeting. They have 1900 parking spots with 3 entrances into the complex from 3 main roads - 71st, 81st and Elwood. Seems to be well thought out and should be much easier access than Allstar, Mowhawk and Indian Springs.

There are 10 outdoor fields with lights, 1 or 2 of them artificial turf, 2 full size indoor fields the size of soccer city, 8 indoor futsol fields, fitness gym like sky fitness, restraunt, smoothie bar, pub, on site athletic trainers and medical staff.

I should preface that these plans have changed many many times in 4 years of planning and they will likely change more before the complex is finished. The outdoor fields are scheduled to be finished this fall and the indoor complex next spring.

As a TSC parent to 3 this news was pretty big. I'm sure though this will not just be a TSC location and other clubs will get to utilize it. Once the money starts rolling in they won't say no to any club or team that wants to use it. I'm glad it's on the Westside! About time we got something over here. I would be interested to know who the owners will be and see some plans. There is a ton of space over in that area so I don't see parking being an issue. I'll wait till they break ground to get excited though.

My understanding is that the owners of the space have ties to multiple local clubs, more than just TSC & Blitz. And I think they're wanting to recuperate their out-of-pocket cost as quick as possible, just like any of us would be. I just hope the space isn't cost prohibitive.

This stinks like I'm gonna be paying for something I will never get to use, as I see TSC mandating every player pay a monthly fee for this. None of my kids practice at allstar and I still pay for it. That's the only reason I say this. With TSC fully bought in and any other club that's wants some, I see 5 teams on one field and so forth. Wonder what will become of Allstar and if TSC will still charge it's players to use both facilities?
