I heard Beattie and Careno would have the 05s?

No, Beattie gold and Melton second team. Carreno does't have an 05 team

I believe Carreno will have the 07 and 09 girls. If you have an 07 or 09 daughter I would highly recommend her. She is an amazing trainer and coaches in a way that gets the girls loving the sport.

She took the top 05 talent at TSC and pushed the top 04 teams. Seems like a good option.

Just found out tonight that Carreno WILL be assisting Beattie next season with his 05 JR ECNL team. This should be a strong coaching combo.

Beattie is a good coach if you don't mind him cussing around the kids... Much better with older girls imo.

What was the last team that Beattie coached that won state or any major tournament?

Carreno sent an email to her parents tonight informing them that she will be helping Coach Beattie with the team next season.

Beattie is a C team type coach. If you ask him, he'd say he's the next incarnation of Jose Moreno. He's basically handed stuff without ever accomplishing anything.

Wow, that is kinda harsh! His mouth does get him in trouble but he is a talented coach. At the end of the day every coach has issues.Yellow card DD on williams 03s?

Not my DD... Had friends who had him on older team. I didn't say anything bad about him... That was the other person. I have heard good things about him! Just that he uses language not suitable for younger ages.

That's a no go IMO for my 12 year old. If you work hard at home instilling certain morals and views of right or wrong why would you be willing to sacrifice it for soccer? I'm careful what language my DD hears on TV and movies and cannot reconcile allowing it for the sake of 12 year old soccer. Also, why would the club find this acceptable.

While i get it for older kids i still don't think its right. There is a few coaches i know on the westside who use inappropriate language and i just can't figure out why its acceptable.

Its not right at. As a parent I would have addressed it with the coach. He is a talented coach with that said. His mouth and emotion has been an issue. If he would just be quiet. You can really tell coaches that do not have children. Playing time, cussing, harshness etc.

Sometimes those are the best coaches though. They take some of that out of it. You can't shelter a kid from everything in life. Just teach them right from wrong so they know the difference. They hear and learn much worse at school or on a bus!

I don't disagree about shelter et al. My personal belief is that by allowing it to persist in front of me I am thus condoning it. I can't control or see what is happening at school and certain other places. To the degree in which i can control (ie soccer) my belief is I must not condone those actions.

I sincerely get where your coming from. But again, i can't control what other diners do at a restaurant but if that place of business is known for lewd drunks et al i can control if i take my kids there. Do i take my kid to see Deadpool because she will hear that language at school? No. We try to set a standard of what is right and what is wrong and our actions say more than our words as to what we will and will not condone.

For me and mine, I am going to control what i can control. I can control what soccer coach my kid plays for (I suppose if all the coaches in the metro did that i could not). I do not shelter my child but still would like to retain some of the innocence of sports at these ages. I just don't think its necessary.
