Texans 04G Scott will be coming up, not sure about any other NTX teams. Have not heard much chatter lately. What local teams are expected?

TSCH Griffin (old Kitterman) playing, pretty sure...don't know what age group yet. What age group Texans 04G Scott playing?

Hey bird, what's up with TSCH Griffin playing up with the 03's, if it's not a misprint? Ducking the 04 competition?

Which 05 teams are playing 8v8 vs 11v11. Assuming sting, Nysa and ofc are playing 11v11?

TSC 04 Griffin is in U12 now. We initially went in as U13, but saw a very talented U12 bracket forming, so moved back.

Re: Beat the Heat & Plano
is 05 NYSA deep enough to compete in 11s with TSC, OFC and sting? I know TSC and OFC are playing up in 11s for the season but didn't expect NYSA or Southlakes to.

I don't know if they are deep enough but they had enough talent 8v8 to hang with anyone. Although I wish these teams would stay 8v8.

Looks like Beat The Heat is going to be stacked. This might be a killer tournament. You may be sorry you missed this one.

Been out of pocket for a week or so! I think Tarheel has it right, that we'll be playing in U12 now that you guys and the other Texas teams will definitely be playing. Or, at least, I hope we will! Should be a good tournament. It'll be interesting to see how the new girls work out on our team and it'll also be nice to play in 100 degree heat with more than one sub! New experience for our team...we'll see how it works for us! I heard that you all have added a few, is that correct? Hopefully, everyone will play their best and really have some great games!

Why are 04 Defeeters playing in silver bracket, shouldn't #10 team in N Texas play in gold?

Good question! Maybe they requested this. At least not D'Feeters Black, their better sister team! They should still be pretty good and should probably be playing upper bracket as you are saying.

Re: Beat the Heat & Plano
D'feeters 04 White is not the 10th best team in TXN. GotSoccer rankings are a joke. They simply reward teams that play a lot.
The only reasonably accurate youth soccer rankings are at youthsoccerrankings.us
Those are computerized, and I have watched them for a few months now, and can't believe their accuracy, i.e. their power to predict the outcomes and point spreads of games. It's a great model.
Anyhow, youthsoccerrankings.us has D'Feeters Black at #4 in TXN (with a rating of 31.71) and D'Feeters White at #21 (with a rating of 28.93). For comparison, consider that TSC-Griffin is at 30.68; OFC at 29.48; Blitz at 29.09; SLSC Blue at 27.98; NYSA at 27.45; and OFC White at 26.70.
So, D'Feeters White is a Gold/Silver bubble team in a tournament with the quality field BtH has attracted this year (the lowest rated Gold Division team appears to be Odyssey at 30.11). So it's reasonable that they chose Silver - if you drive that far, you want to return home with some hardware!

Re: Beat the Heat & Plano
It all depends who D'Feeters White bring. When we played them last year they player passed 5 kids from their top team. That made them very good. Without those kids? I don't have an answer.
As to gotsoccer rankings? Well its really a joke. Teams can play tournaments against lesser competition and accumulate those rankings easily.
As to the tournament. This a preseason tournament so changeover et al should play a big role. At this time I would rank the top tier as this:
1. Texans South
2. TSC Griffin
3. Texans Dallas (almost a draw with Griffin)
4. OFC
5. Odyssey (draw with OFC they added a couple of good players)
6. Sporting (don't know anything about them)
The silver division is between D'Feeters and TSC 05. The others don't have a chance.
